Bhubaneswar, May 23: Nandankanan Police arrested three persons and forwarded them to court for allegedly attacking a group of tourists from Chhatisgarh inside Nandankanan Zoological Park in Bhubaneswar yesterday. The arrested trio have been identified as Santosh Sahu, Kanha Mohapatra and Aman Patshani of Daruthenga. Reportedly, some staff of the Zoo and locals had attacked over 15 visitors after an altercation between them on Sunday afternoon. The tourists had complained that though they had bought tickets to visit the safaris in the zoo, they were not allotted vehicles even after three hours of wait. Instead of solving their issue, the zoo employees allegedly manhandled the tourists and called some locals who thrashed the tourists with the steel rods installed near the safari counter. A complaint in this regard was lodged by the tourists at Nandankanan Police Station.
