Cuttack, June 15: A minor boy luckily had a close shave after a cell phone exploded all of a sudden in his hand.
The boy, identified as Ballabh Dalai of the Badamba area in the Cuttack district, became critical due to burn injuries.
The incident took place in the Mangarajpur on Saturday.
Sources said that Ballabh was watching games in the mobile. Meanwhile, the cell phone burst all of a sudden. Later, it turned into ashes due to fire sparked from it. As a result, the boy sustained critical burn injuries. Parents rushed him to the Badamba health centre for treatment. Later, he was shifted to the SCB Medical College & Hospital for better care.
