New Delhi, June 21: Leading auto manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India Ltd will increase car prices in next month due to rise in production costs.
The price increase will be implemented from July across various models in its line-up. This price increase shall vary for different models, the carmaker stated. However, the company has not specified the extent of the price hike yet.
“This is to inform you that over the past year the cost of the company’s vehicles continues to be adversely impacted due to an increase in various input costs. Hence, it has become imperative for the Company to pass on some impact of the above additional cost to customers through a price rise,” Maruti Suzuki India Ltd stated in a regulatory filing today.
