Rayagada, Aug 7: Security forces have busted a Maoist camp and seized several incriminating materials in Niyamgiri hill near Tadijhola village under Lanjigarh block. As per reports, acting on tip-off CRPF personnel raided a forest area and busted the camp. The security forces have seized several incriminating materials including two country-made guns, 35 live bullets, gelatine sticks and three tiffin bombs from the camp. Earlier in the day, DGP Abhay has asked police to conduct frequent meetings with the villagers to give them a sense of security in Maoist-affected areas. The DGP made the direction while visiting the districts of Kalahandi and Balangir to review Left Wing Extremism (LWE). He also asked the police to reach out and inform them about the surrender and rehabilitation policy. Director Intelligence Lalit Das and DIG Anirudh Singh accompanied the DGP.
