Mao posters in Balangir appeal to boycott panchayat polls in Odisha

Kantabanji, Jan 18: Panic gripped local residents after a Maoist poster was found at Samaraingh village under Turekela police limits in Balangir district. Mao posters and banners urging locals to boycott the upcoming Panchayat polls in Odisha were spotted at various places here. It reads, " the people of the village are united to form their own government, to boycott the corrupt elections, and to demand the development of the village." Turekela police reached the spot and started investigation into the matter.
