Manish Anurag death case: Commissionerate police submits 400-page charge sheet

Bhubaneswar, Feb 12: In a recent development in the death case of senior journalist Navin Das’s elder son Manish Anurag, Infocity police has filed a 400-page charge sheet Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) court. Sources said, the charge sheet has been filed against the three accused Amrit Biswal of Nayapalli, Mrutyunjay Mishra of Pianpada, and Dinesh Kumar Mohapatra of Anlapada. They have been charged under sections 37 (a) (Kidnapping or abduction for ransom), 302 (Punishment for murder), 201 (Causing disappearance of evidence of offense), and 34 (Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The autopsy report, the diatom report, and the visceral report have also been included in the chargesheet and the cops have listed 17 witnesses in the chargesheet. Worth mentioning, Commissionerate Police arrested Amrit Biswal, Mrutyunjay Mishra, and Dinesh Kumar Mohapatra on charges of Manish’s murder and destroying the relevant evidence. While Mrutyunjay and Dinesh surrendered at Phulbani police station in Kandhamal district, Amrit was detained, and later all of them were arrested.
