Bhubaneswar, Oct 9: Commissionerate Police today prosecuted a citizen for strolling with his pet dog near a protected monument in the State capital. As per reports the man identified as Tofan Samatray was spotted strolling with his pet dog incident near the protected monument of Sri Bakreswar Mahadev. The picture of Samantray with his pet dog has gone viral on social media and several users have demanded stringent action against him. “We have taken note of an unsavoury incident near the protected monument of Sri Bakreswar Mahadev in Bhubaneswar from social media. As per direction of CP, the person was identified. His name is Tofan Samantray. He is being prosecuted under the OUP Act. We advise citizens to be responsible in handing pets,” read a statement of Commissionerate Police.
