Berhampur, Dec 21: A farmer of Sanakhemundi area has lost his right hand with a paddy threshing machine on Tuesday. The mishap took place at Patanda village under Digapahandi police limit in the morning. The affected farmer is S Nanda Dora of Patanda. Sources said, Dora was harvesting paddy with a threshing machine.As the machine went out of order and it was unable ingest paddy, Dora tried to feed raw paddy into the machine. Meanwhile, the machine ran all of sudden and his right hand was fed into the thresher. As a result, Dora’s hand was cut off and displaced into the machine. He was immediately rushed to Berhampur Medical College and Hospital for relief.However, he was referred to Vishakhapatnam hospital as his condition worsened due to heavy bleeding.
