Man kills wife : Police unearth body from riverbank in Ganjam

Berhampur, Dec 14: Ganjam police has unearthed a woman’s body from the Rushikulya riverbank on Tuesday, which was dumped by the husband after killing her. The deceased is T Laxmi, a native of Munishipentha village under the Chhatrapur police limit. While, the accused husband has been identified as T Mohan Rao. Sources said, T Mohan had topped-up sand on his wife’s body after killing her on Sunday. Acting on the tip-off from the locals, police undertook an investigation and unearthed the body from the Rushikulaya bank. Following this, police registered a murder case and detained the accused husband today. The nature of death will be ascertained after the autopsy. Interrogation to the detainee is underway, said the police.
