Dhenkanal, April 24: A man has allegedly hacked five members of his family in Dhenkanal on Sunday. The incident took place at Khajuriakata village under the Balimi police limit in the afternoon. The accused has been identified as Laltu Biswal. The victims are Laltu’s elder brother Bhairab, his wife Uttam,son Mahendra and another elder brother Anam. Sources said, Laltu was constructing his house at Khajuriakata without the agreement of his two brothers. Meanwhile, his brothers, Bhairab and Anam along with their family members stopped the construction forcefully. Aggrieved over it, Laltu hacked them with an axe. As a result, all of them became critical and they were rushed to Dhenkanal hospital for treatment. Being informed, the police registered a case and started an investigation into it.
