Nuapada, 2/11: Driven by superstition, a man hacked his eight year old daughter to death in Khariar police station area of Nuapada district. According to information, Mahendra Ketaki, a resident of Kotamal village under Khariar police station of Nuapada was ailing for quite long. As he did not get cured, he suspected that the evil force in his daughter’s body was responsible for his illness. So Mahendra hacked his daughter Sarita to death by a sharp weapon used for chopping vegetables. {"id":19880} A complaint to this effect was lodged by Tankadhar Ketaki, the elder brother of the accused. After absconding for a few days, the accused was finally arrested by the Khariar police.
