Balasore: Man attacks neighbour over past enmity, detained

Simulia, April 4: A man allegedly chopped his neighbour over past enmity at Chandrapada village under Simulia police limit in Balasore on Sunday night. The victim has been identified as Shyama Murmu while the accused is Chandra Murmu. Police said that Chandra and Shyama had past enmity. Both turned violent after a verbal spat broke last night. Being aggrieved Chandra attacked Shyama with a chopper. Shyama sustained serious cuts over his body and became blood bathed. Locals rushed him to Simulia Health Centre. He was later referred to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack as his condition deteriorated. Meanwhile, the police detained the accused person.
