Ganjam, Aug 4: A man has been arrested for allegedly setting his wife on fire by pouring petrol on her in Ganjam district on Wednesday. The incident took place at Sana Arjepalli village under the Chhatrapur Marine police limits in the morning. The half-burnt woman B Arama has been rushed to MKCG hospital in Berhampur in critical condition. The accused husband has been identified as B Mukuduku. Sources said Mukuduku set B Arama on fire on the village street by pouring petrol on her. Consequently, Arama sustained critical burn injuries. Being informed, police reached the spot and rushed the woman to the Berhampur hospital. A case has been registered in this connection and the accused has been arrested, said the police.
