Panaji, Dec 13: West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee on Monday offered Congress to join the TMC alliance in Goa. Banerjee said that the TMC had already formed an alliance with parties in Goa to fight the BJP and if the Congress so wished, it could join them. “This is the alternative,” Banerjee said in an offering. Banerjee also went on to say that Congress shares a great relationship with BJP. “I don’t want to speak against the Congress. If Congress thinks that it wants to work to defeat the BJP, we have no objection. We have formed an alliance in Goa with the MGP (Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party) and today we have taken the NCP (Nationalist Congress Party) and four-five parties together, an alliance has been formed. This is the alternative. If you want to join, join us. No problem. Just because you don’t do it (fight the BJP together) does not mean no one else will. This is not right,” the West Bengal Chief Minister said.
