Make in Odisha -2016 and 2018: 102 out of 166 proposals commissioned

Bhubaneswar, Nov 26: As many as 102 projects with an estimated investment of Rs 4.04 lakh crore have been commissioned till now out of 166 proposals cleared in the two chapters of Make in Odisha in 2016 and 2018. This was informed by Minister for Industries Pratap Keshari Deb on Friday in reply to a question of Congress MLA Santosh Singh Saluja in the Odisha Assembly. The state government had received 84 investment proposals with an estimated investment of Rs 2.03 lakh crore in the 2016 edition of Make in Odisha. As many as 58 projects worth around Rs 2.29 lakh crore were cleared by the Odisha government and 35 projects have been commissioned out of it with an investment of Rs 1.17 lakh crore. The projects have employed 80,038 people, informed the minister. Similarly, out of 202 investment proposals received in the 2018 Make in Odisha edition the Odisha government cleared 108 projects with an estimated investment of Rs 3.93 lakh crore. However, only 67 projects have been commissioned with around Rs 2.87 lakh crore investment, the minister added.
