Bhubaneswar, Nov 30: The main road near Badagada in Bhubaneswar will remain closed for at least a month for roof work on the under-construction historic Badagada arch. The Odisha Tourism Development Corporation has written a letter to the Works department, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation, Commissionerate Police, and other concerned officials in this regard on November 22 seeking approval, said OTDC junior engineer Nihar Ranjan Rout. However, the Corporation has not received any reply in this regard, said Rout. We have suggested the concerned departments to use Canal bank Road and Mainshakhala Road during this period. Notably, the proposed heritage gate is being constructed at a budget of Rs 40 lakh. It's 20 feet high and 50 feet in width. The construction work has been completed up to the roof level.
