<strong>Maha Shivaratri in Lingaraj temple amid Covid restrictions</strong>

Bhubaneswar, Feb 11: The Maha Shivaratri- 2022 at Shree Lingaraj shrine in Bhubaneswar will be held amid strict adherence to COVID-19 guidelines. The Temple Trust Board and Khordha district administration informed it on Friday. In a meeting convened in the Chair of Khordha Collector & the Ex-officio Chairperson of Lingaraj Temple Trust, it was unanimously decided that this year’s Maha Shivaratri will be observed amid the Covid-19 guidelines. Accordingly, the basic rituals will be followed with optimal manpower, that is with the concerned servitors. Maha Dipa will be taken up atop the temple at 10 PM. However, the matters of the congregation and public darshan during the rituals are yet to be decided.
