Mumbai, Aug 25: An Odia Officer of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has been rewarded for a security checkup to Tiger ‘Khan’. The CISF Authorities have felicitated him with a cash award worth Rs 50,000 and a token of Citation, as an honor for his loyalty and sincerity towards his duty. CISF DG has presented Mohanty cash award of Rs 5,000 and a citation for his ‘exemplary professionalism’. Taking to Twitter, the CISF authorities said, "The officer concerned has been suitably rewarded for exemplary professionalism in the discharge of his duty." The 'Dabbang' actor jetted off to Russia on August 20 for the shooting set of his upcoming movie ‘Ek Tha Tiger. He arrived at the Chhatrapati Sivaji International Airport, Mumbai to leave for his destination abroad. Meanwhile, Odia CISF officer Somanath Mohanty, a native of Nayagarh in Odisha put hurdles before Salman for security-related lapses. Mohanty firmly taught him at the gate and asked him to join the queue at the security check counter, as Salman flouted discipline. He politely approached him to wait in the queue for his turn to table his id cards and relevant documents. Though Salman had not faced any situation like it before, he followed the instructions of the young officer for his commanding voice. A video featuring the entire episode of the CISF officer’s instruction stormed the social media. Affiliation and praises showered over Somanath for performing his duty so diligently. However, some reports published recently in a section of media quoting another CISF officer suggested that the officer's phone had been confiscated to prevent him from talking to the media. On the other hand, the Director-General of CISF stated in contrast to it and said, whatever Somnath performed in the line of his duty was ‘absolutely exemplary.
