Low pressure over Bay Of Bengal on Nov 9

Bhubaneswar, Nov 6: A low-pressure area is likely to form over the Bay of Bengal around November 9, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said. As per the Met department forecast, the low-pressure area is likely to form over southwest Bay of Bengal and neighborhood, meanwhile, the Bhubaneswar centre of Met department informed that dry weather is likely to prevail for the next five days in Odisha. There are chances of intensification of the possible system and movement towards the north Tamil Nadu coast. The system is likely to intensify adjoining north Sri Lanka around November 11, while shallow to moderate fog will occur at one or two places over the districts of Nayagarh and Kalahandi. The Met had earlier forecast light to moderate rain or thundershower at one or two places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada and Nabarangpur on November 7.
