Low-Pressure area forms over Bay Of Bengal, yellow warning for these districts in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Nov 12: A low-pressure area has formed over the southeast Bay of Bengal and the neighborhood on Friday under the influence of cyclonic circulation in the same region. Under its influence, a thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur over several districts of Odisha on Friday, informed the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). The IMD issued a yellow warning for Gajapati, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Khordha, Puri, Kandhamal and Rayagada districts. These districts are very likely to experience lightning and thunderstorm accompanied by light downpours till 1:30 pm. People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly to move safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
