Koraput, Oct 22: Ahead of the plan of the Andhra administration to enter the Kotia group of villages in Odisha, the Koraput district administration has deployed police force along the inter-state border on Friday.

Sources said the Koraput district administration came to know that the Andhra administration is going to take up a number of developmental programs in the Kotia group of villages.

In order to check the illegal access of Andhra officials, the Koraput district collector directed police to keep a vigil on the Andhra-Odisha border so that no outsider can have easy access into Kotia.

Accordingly, Sunabeda, Semiliguda, Damanjodi, and Potangi police have been deployed at the border. At the same time, the administration is taking stock of every minute of developments. Responding to the present situation in the Kotia group of villages, Collector Abdaal M Akhtar said that no indiscipline in the area will be entertained. However, the directions of the Apex Court will be strictly implemented, he said.
