Puri, July 12: The Rath Yatra usually begins on the Dwitiya Tithi (second day), Shukla Paksha (waxing phase of the Moon), in the Hindu month of Aashadha with rituals like Pahandi, Chhera Panhara and the actual pulling of the chariots. It ends with Niladri Bije on Ashadha Purnima (Full Moon Day). Accordingly, the Rath Yatra-2021 is being held on July 12 as per the Hindu Chronicle. The rituals of the annual festival of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra are related to some other significant occasions, which are traditionally celebrated in Puri and other Sri Jagannath temples and Sri Krishna temples across Odisha. The key festivals related to the Rath Yatra are as follows. Let's Know the time schedule for the key occasions..... Gundicha Yatra  The Gundicha Yatra is on Monday(July 12) and includes rituals like Pahandi (at around 8:30 AM) followed by Chhera Panhara at 2 PM and pulling the holy chariots at 3 PM. Bahuda Yatra The Bahuda Yatra shall start on July 20 and will have the rituals of Pahandi (between 12 PM to 2:30 PM and pulling of the chariots at 4 PM. Suna Besha Suna Besha will take place on the next day ie July 21. The rituals shall take place between 4 PM to 5:30 PM. Adhara Pana The Adhara Pana rituals shall take place on July 22. Niladri Bije And the Yatra celebrations shall conclude with the Niladri Bije on July 23.The Trinities will come back to the Sri Jagannath temple and bedecked on the Ratna Singhasan for another year.
