Bhubaneswar: In another incident of man-animal conflict, an elderly woman was trampled to death at Kanpur village under Anandpur area in Keonjhar district early this morning.

The deceased was identified as Sanjulata Rout of Kanpur village.

According to reports, Sanjulata had gone to collect mangoes from a nearby jungle when an elephant came and attacked her with trunk. She died on the spot.

Villagers have informed forest officials regarding the incident.
