Bhubaneswar, Nov 16: After a long time, Jharsuguda politics has taken a turn, Earlier, there was a fight between former leader Naba Kishor Das and former leader Kishor Mohanty. Both the leaders are no more now. But their legacy is still continuing in Jharsuguda. Now the game has changed. The fight between the successors of two veteran leaders has started to unfold.
After Naba Kishor Das, ( the former MLA, Jharsuguda), his daughter Deepali Das has taken command both in the constituency and party affairs. But another BJD leader Trinath Gual has emerged and challenged her within the party. Previously, Trinath was an ardent follower of the late BJD leader Kishor Mohanty.
Due to a political feud with the then leader Naba Das, Trinath Gual broke a decades-long relationship with the BJD and joined the BJP. During a by-election after the demise of Naba Das, BJD brought back Trinath into the party fold. Now, Trinath is getting the support of leaders who are dissidents to MLA Deepali Das.
