Bhubaneswar, May 16: The visitors will soon experience the Japanese Okayama garden, the first of its kind in Odisha, in Jayadev Vatika.
Works are on full swing to complete the ongoing Japanese Okayama garden project in Jayadev Vatika Park on the foothills of Khandagiri hill. The visitors can get the new experience within the next two months, said a BDA official.
The Okayama garden will have two ponds, connected by a bridge. Small nests, plants, houses and artificial hills will be constructed around the pond.
There will be 10 huts around the Okayama garden for visitors to enjoy the nature. The work is going on for over last three weeks. The construction works will take two months, said an employee.
The Japanese garden will spread over an area of 7 acres, representing the culture and intricate ideology of an authentic Japanese Garden.
It will be the biggest Japanese style garden in India after Pune Okayama friendship garden.
