Bhubaneswar, Jan 21: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday said Konark area will be developed into a world-class heritage site.
The infrastructure in the area will be developed for seamless communication with commercial centres and facilities for recreation of tourists.
After chairing a high-level meeting to review the work plan, Naveen said a state-of-the-art high-rise entry plaza will be constructed at the entrance to welcome tourists.
He also announced a multi model hub for parking and renovation of the open air theatre.
The three-km-long outer ring road will be six laned along with widening of all roads connecting to the temple.
The plan also includes resettlement of roadside vendors and special road for pedestrians.
