New Delhi, Sept 10: In a significant move to bolster its legal representation, the Indian government has appointed six eminent senior advocates as Additional Solicitor Generals (ASGs) in the Supreme Court. The appointments, effective for three years, aim to fortify the government's legal team in handling critical cases before the apex court.

The newly appointed ASGs include S. Dwarakanath, Archana Pathak Dave, SatyaDarshi Sanjay, Brijender Chahar, Raghavendra P. Shankar, and Rajkumar Bhaskar Thakare (Raja Thakare). These legal luminaries boast distinguished careers and have been involved in several high-profile cases, showcasing their expertise in diverse legal domains like constitutional law, commercial laws, and corporate law.

The appointments, approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), underscore the government's commitment to ensuring robust legal representation in the Supreme Court.
