Bhubaneswar, June 9: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday said the state is witnessing rapid development across infrastructure, agriculture, healthcare, education, and welfare sectors due to strong coordination between the BJP governments at the Centre and in the state.

Addressing a press conference marking 12 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government, Majhi highlighted major achievements, including a record railway allocation of ₹10,928 crore, national highway projects worth ₹80,000 crore, and key port and industrial projects across Odisha.

He said welfare schemes such as PM-KISAN, PMAY, Ayushman Bharat, and PM Vishwakarma have benefited millions of people, while over 23 lakh women have become “Lakhpati Didis” through self-help group initiatives.

The Chief Minister also highlighted progress in tribal welfare, education, renewable energy, healthcare, and housing. He noted that Odisha has topped NITI Aayog’s Fiscal Health Index for two consecutive years and has made significant strides in reducing Left Wing Extremism.

Congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing 12 years in office, Majhi said India has emerged as the world’s fastest-growing major economy and reaffirmed Odisha’s commitment to becoming a developed state by 2036 while contributing to the vision of a “Viksit Bharat” by 2047.
