Anandapur, June 9: Police have arrested one person and seized 50 bottles of foreign liquor following a raid in connection with alleged illegal liquor trade in Purunaghat village under Anandapur police station limits.

Acting on repeated complaints about the large-scale smuggling and sale of foreign liquor in the area, police conducted a sudden raid at the residence of one Tapan Ho.

During the search operation, officers recovered 50 bottles of foreign-made liquor from his house. Following the seizure, Tapan Ho was arrested on charges of illegal liquor trading and was later forwarded to court.

Police officials stated that such anti-liquor smuggling operations will continue in the area to curb illegal activities.
