Cuttack, May 12: An incomplete Public Interest Litigation (PIL) brings more harm for the society than the desired good cause, said a division bench of the Orissa High Court on Friday. Hearing a PIL filed by the social outfit Bharat Bikash Parishad, the division bench comprising the Chief Justice S Mualidhar and Justice KR Mohapatra has rejected the petition on the basis of insufficient cause. According to the judgment, the PIL has been filed on the basis of some press clippings without any particular proof of inconvenience to the public. Thus, the High Court has termed the PIL to be an incomplete one. Notably, Bharat Bikash Parishad had filed a PIL in order to set up CCTV surveillance in the Covid hospitals to keep vigil on the treatment.
