IAF Chopper Crash tragedy: Angul District Admn readies Wreath Laying Ceremony of Odia martyr Ranapratap

Angul, Dec 9: Angul District Administration has readied for the ‘Wreath Laying Ceremony’ of the mortal remnants of Ranapratap Das, the Junior Warrant Officer of Indian Air Force (IAF), who got his martyrdom in the Chopper crash tragedy that took place on Wednesday, in Tamilnadu. Angul District Collector, Siddharth Shankar Swain said, “We are aware of the shocking incident that the Junior Warrant Officer of IAF, Rana Pratap Das, son of Sribatsa Das of Krishnachandrapur village under the Kandhal Gram panchayat, Talcher is one of the 13 martyrs including the CDS, who were demised in the helicopter mishap, met at Tamilnadu yesterday. {"id":152453,"sizeSlug":"full","linkDestination":"none"} “Following this, we have talked to the kith and Kin of Late Das and expressed all solidarities and condolence to the bereaved family. Besides, concerned officers have been mobilised in the Sub-Division level with essential logistics to pay formal adieu to the valiant Jawan. However, subsequent intimation from the IAF Authorities, regarding the arrival of the mortal remains of Late Das in Angul is so far to be received”, Said Swain. He along with senior administrative officers will pay homage at the last rites attending the guard of honour ceremony of Late Das, he added. Apart from it, District police has prepared its contingent for receiving the mortal remains and the guard of honour of the martyred Jawan at his birth place in Talcher.
