High School Transformation: 34 thousand schools to get new look

Bhubaneswar, June 18: The School and Mass Education Department has taken up High School Transformation Programme under the aegis of 5T. Accordingly, the department has prepared a road map to develop as many as 34,000 high schools under the programme. If it is implemented, the beneficiary schools will get new looks soon. The Executive Council of Mo School has approved the proposal in one of its meetings convened on Thursday. At the same time, budgetary approval worth Rs 103 crore has been accorded for the project. However, the funds will be utilized for developing the educational infrastructure of around 34,000 high schools along with digital transformation of as many as 1000 selected schools. The digitalized schools will have basic facilities for coding classes. Apart from it, Mo School institution has prepared a blueprint to develop the 844 adopted schools those are patronized by alumni or volunteering institutions. Similarly, the government is set to allocate almost two times of the alumni’s contributions under Mo School Program. It will be utilized to bring a spectacular change in teaching-learning process of high schools, said an official of ‘Mo School’
