Bhubaneswar, Sept 16: During the last seven years of NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Odisha has received unexpected financial aids from the Centre. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has personally monitored various projects launched to boost the economy of Odisha. Here are some achievements by Government of India in Odisha during the last seven years. The Central Government has provided Rs. 388 crores towards boosting capital expenditure by the Government of Odisha who were facing difficult financial environment due to COVID 19 pandemic. The release of States' Share of Union Taxes and Duties made to the Government of Odisha increased by 118.7% from Rs. 69,316 crores under the 13th Finance Commission to Rs. 1,84,000 crores under the 14th Finance Commission. The 15th Finance Commission has recommended Rs. 2,258 crores of Central Grant to Rural Local Bodies and Rs. 1,087 crores of Central Grant to Urban Local Bodies for Odisha for FY 2020-21. Odisha has gained Rs. 14,113 crores from the historic tax reform which merged 17 Taxes and 23 Cesses merged into 1 GST. Odisha has the highest accumulation of DMF funds among all States for implementation of projects for the welfare of people affected by mining operations through PM Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana. Odisha has accumulated Rs. 11,326.56 crores under DMF. Rs. 64.5 crores spent on Covid-19 related activities from DMF. Rs. 4,130 crores made available under State Disaster Relief Fund to Odisha for providing relief to disaster victims. Rs. 2,139 crores allocated under State Disaster Management Relief Fund for Odisha under 15th FC for FY 2020-21. Rs. 4,914.32 crores allocated from National Disaster Relief Fund during times of natural disasters in Odisha. 377 lakh Metric Ton of Paddy procured by Central Government at Minimum Support Price amounting to outgo of Rs. 60,594 crores for Odisha's farmers. Under PM-KISAN, Rs. 2000 is being transferred to each registered farmer every 3 months. So far Rs. 3,274.21 crores has been transferred to 40.54 lakh registered farmers in Odisha. Under PM Fasal Bima Yojana, Rs. 4424.85 crores worth of insurance claims paid against crop failure to 20.94 lakh insured farmers in Odisha. Central Research Institute is being setup in Kalahandi for Soyabean. 6000 Standalone Solar Pumps have been sanctioned in Odisha under PMKUSUM. Over 11.22 lakh hectares have been covered so far under Micro-irrigation in Odisha with an investment of more than Rs. 231.4 crores under PM Krishi Sinchai Yojana. Under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana, 413 projects with a sanction of Rs. 3,438.45 crores invested in Odisha for holistic development of agriculture and allied sector. Organic farming in Odisha has been given a thrust with 363 projects under Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana with an investment of Rs. 1,733.45 crores. 36.35 lakh Soil Health Cards provided to 43.57 lakh farmers in Odisha. 103 projects sanctioned in Odisha by NABARD under agriculture infrastructure development in 2020 with an investment of Rs. 28.13 crores Rs. 63.01 crores sanctioned for Odisha under Blue Revolution for bringing 4,463 ha area in Odisha under aquaculture, insured 11.31 lakh fishermen annually. Financial assistance provided to 37,806 fishermen during fishing lean/ban period. Skill development for 2,701 fish farmers. Rs. 45 lakhs sanctioned for Odisha under National Bamboo Mission. Rs. 51.81 crores invested in Odisha under National Gokul Mission, focused on increasing the income of Odisha's dairy farmers. In Odisha, before the Vajpayee government, the total NH length was only 1681 KM. During the 5 years of NDA 1 during Atal ji’s leadership, Odisha got an addl. NH of 1600 KM of NH. During 10 years of UPA govt. only 1358 KM of NH was added and total NH length remained below 4650. In the past 5 years of Modi Govt, 816 KM of NH have already been commissioned in Odisha and work is on track for completing 5,449 KM of NH in the State. 16,674 KM of rural roads have been constructed for connecting every village in Odisha under PM Gram Sadak Yojana with an investment of Rs. 9,688 crores My Government continues to allot prime importance to the development of railways in Odisha with a provisional allocation of Rs. 4,373 crores for projects in Odisha in Railway Budget 2020-21. This comes in continuation of the record allocation of Rs. 20, 123 crores from 2014-19. Veer Surendra Sai Airport, Jharsuguda commissioned in September 2018 at a cost of Rs. 288 crores. Currently connected with New Delhi, Hyderabad and Kolkata. International flight operations commenced at Biju Patnaik International Airport, Bhubaneswar on 10th July, 2015. Additional investment of Rs. 752.36 crores for revamping Biju Patnaik International Airport including New Integrated Terminal Building. 650 Indian Post Payment Banks operational in Odisha for door-step banking. 6.25 Lakhs Digilocker accounts registered. 21.77 Lakh candidates registered under PM DISHA. Teledensity in Odisha has increased from 60.9% in 2014 to 75.74% in 2019. 483 number of Mobile connectivity based Towers (Voice-2G +data4G) are being setup in 18 LWE affected districts of Odisha. 32 Common Service Centres are functional. 2,925 GPs being connected in Odisha under Bharatnet Phase. PM-WANI (Wi-Fi Access Network Interface) scheme will further revolutionise the tech world and significantly improve WiFi availability across the length and breadth of Odisha. Mining and Minerals Regulation & Development (Amendment) Act generated revenue of over Rs. 71,000 Crores over the lease period 13 coal and 5 non coal mining blocks for Odisha vs. previous scenario where State only got royalty after free allocation of blocks. Limit of collateral free lending to be increased from Rs 10 to Rs 20 lakhs for around 6 lakh women SHGs in Odisha. Interest subvention of up to 3 lakhs @ 7% per annum for all women Self Help Groups under Swarnjayanti Gram Swarojgar Yojana Under StandupIndia scheme 2,964 loans sanctioned worth Rs. 617.64 crores to support entrepreneurship among women and SC & ST communities. 1.80 crore Mudra loans sanctioned in Odisha totalling to Rs.54596 crores 11,230 weavers benefitted in 30 Block level clusters with support of Rs. 14.79 crores from the Central Government. 10 districts of Odisha classified as Aspirational Districts for accelerated social development: Dhenkanal, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangapur ,Nuapara and Rayagada. Under National Food Security Mission, Rs. 29 rice subsidy is being borne by the Central Government for providing rice at Re. 1 to 3.23 crore NFSA beneficiaries. Under PM Ujjwala Yojana 47.39 Lakhs LPG connections released in Odisha. LPG connections in Odisha have gone up from 19.6 lakhs in 2014 to 90.3 lakhs in 2021. 96.71 lakh household have been electrified under SAUBHAGYA Yojana achieving 100% Electrification achieved in Odisha under SAUBHAGYA Yojana 5.22 Crore subsidized LED bulbs distributed in Odisha under UJALA scheme leading to electricity tariff saving of Rs. 2715 Crores per year and 54.98 million tonnes reduction in CO2 emissions. Under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan 58.81 lakh toilets have been constructed in households, schools and public areas across Odisha. Improvement in sanitation coverage in Odisha from 10.61% in 2014 to 100% in 2021. Transformative urban infrastructural upgrades carried across Odisha under the ARMUT scheme from 2015-20. Out of the Rs. 1,599 crores sanctioned for Odisha under the scheme’s SAAP, Rs. 785.23 has already been released to the State Government. More than 152 projects worth Rs. 1,051.22 have been completed across urban centres in Bhubaneswar, Bhadrak, Balasore, Behrampur, Cuttack Puri, Rourkela and Sambalpur and another 39 are under progress. These projects, which range from development of community parks to and automaton of water treatment plants, will support the growing aspirations of the modern urban Odisha. 19.16 Lakh houses built in Odisha under PM Awas Yojana since 2014-15 with an investment of more than Rs. 23,696 crores 8.51 Lakh households provided tap water supply in rural Odisha with an investment of Rs. 604 crores under Jal Jeevan Mission. Under PM Jeevan Jyoti Yojana, 22.44 Lakh people have been enrolled in Odisha and Rs. 124.18 worth of insurance crore claims settled. Under PM Suraksha Bima Yojana, 70.88 Lakh people enrolled in Odisha. Rs. 24.12 worth of insurance crore claims settled. 1.69 crore Jan Dhan accounts have been opened in Odisha with net deposits exceeding Rs. 5,845 Crores. 1.28 crore RuPay cards have been issued to beneficiaries. Rs. 7,762 invested for generating employment under MNREGA in Odisha since 2014. 74.42 lakh man-days of employment generated in Odisha with an investment of Rs. 1000.84 crores High quality generic medicines at affordable prices and Jan Aushadhi Suvidha Sanitary Napkins @ Re. 1/- to 217 Pradhan Mantri Bharya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) Kendras across Odisha. Rs. 7.75 crore released to Odisha for setting up of Mahila Shakti Kendra in 8 backward districts of Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Koraput, Dhenkanal, Rayagada, Balangir, Malkanagiri and Gajapati to empower rural women with opportunities for skill development, employment, digital literacy, health and nutrition. Over 3.8 Lakhs Children & over 1.10 Lakhs Pregnant Women have been immunized in Odisha under Mission Indra Dhanush All the 30 districts in Odisha have been covered under POSHAN Abhiyan. Rs. 151.71 crores of central share have been released to the state under this scheme. Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’, implemented in all 30 districts of Odisha with an investment of Rs. 169 crores. 9.48 lakh accounts opened in Odisha under Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana helped parents save for the girl child, ensuring education and financial freedom for the girl child. Rs. 2.75 crores released for Odisha under Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana to provide monetary assistance so that women can afford nutrition and also take rest before and after the delivery. 114 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas are operational in Odisha, benefitting 9542 girl students. Odisha is among top 5 states to benefit from Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan scheme with 8,702 women receiving assured, comprehensive and quality antenatal care, free of cost, on the 9th of every month. Rs. 15.16 crore have been sanctioned for supporting over 22,636 street vendors in Odisha. Over 2.7 lakhs students in Odisha have been enrolled under PM Kaushal Vikas Yojana Rs. 525.54 crores invested for making 13 EMRS functional in Odisha which will be increased to 92 by 2022. 16,708 Students Enrolled are enrolled in EMRS. 6.36 lakh students enrolled under Scheme for Pre-Matric Scholarship and 5.54 enrolled under Post-Matric Scholarship for ST students with an investment of Rs. 639.23 crores. Launch of Swami Vivekananda National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research(SVNIRTR) in Bolangir, which will provide rehabilitation services to DIVYANG Jan from rural, tribal and other interior parts of western Odisha and Chhattisgarh. One Nation One Ration card leveraging technology and portability which will be valid at Fair Price Shops pan-India, to cover 83% by August 2020, and 100% by March, of the 3.3 Crore PDS population in Odisha Development of Gopalpur, Barkul, Satapada and Tampara in Puri district of Odisha as Coastal Circuit at a cost of Rs. 76.49 crores Infrastructure development at Puri, Shree Jagannath Dham-RamachandiPrachi River front at Deuli under Mega Circuit at a cost of Rs. 50 crores World-class interpretation centre constructed at Konark Sun Temple by the Indianoil Foundation. Solarization of the Konark Sun Temple complex. Inclusion of Konark Sun Temple in the list of India's iconic tourist sites. Golden beach in Puri became of the only 8 beaches in India to have bagged the coveted Blue Flag Certification.
