Hardcore Maoist Sujan surrenders in Odisha

Balangir, August 1: Hardcore Maoist cadre Sujan has surrendered before the Balangir police on Sunday. Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Northern Range Dr. Dipak Kumar informed media persons in this regard in the afternoon. Sources said, after a combing operation by the  Balangir police on July 16, Sujan decided to return to the mainstream. Consequently, he surrendered before the police on Sunday in the presence of higher police officials. Sujan was one of the leading cadres of the Kalahandi-Kandhamal-Boudh-Nayagarh (KKBN) division. Before it, Sujan was one of the lead militants in the Balangir-Bargarh-Mahasamund Maoist division, said DIG.
