PM Modi applauded Vinesh for her valiant and scintillating efforts and congratulated her for becoming the first Indian woman wrestler to reach an Olympic final.
Modi was all praise for Vinesh as he greeted the Indian athletes and medal winners of the Paris Games 2024 at his residence in the national capital on Independence Day.
It can be recalled that Vinesh had already won three Commonwealth Games Gold medals, two World Championships Bronze medals and one Asian Games Gold medal to her credit.
However, following her disqualification at the Paris Olympics 2024, the Haryana grappler has announced her retirement from wrestling, which shocked her fans and supporters.
