Govt to launch ECMO service in Capital hospital from CSR fund

Bhubaneswar, June 10: Odisha government is all set to launch Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ICMO) service at Capital hospital Bhubaneswar soon. Health Minister Naba Kishore Das informed about the development in this connection on Wednesday. Das said, ECMO machine will be established in the Capital hospital from the Corporate Social Responsibility grant. Tender process in this connection is already over. ECMO machine will be installed here as soon as possible. ECMO treatment is now essential for the state. However, an ECMO device in the Capital hospital will at least be a relief for the Corona patients those are treated around the twin-city, said Das.
