Bhubaneswar, July 27: The iconic warrior-horse replica at the Master Canteen square in Bhubaneswar, which has been adopted by Odisha government as its emblem, will not be relocated. The government has taken a decision in this regard, said sources. Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Singh informed that the capital’s warrior horse statue would not be relocated. Earlier, Congress and BJP had protested the move of the state government. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had protested against shifting of the sculpture from the Master Canteen Square to the Raj Bhavan Square apparently to facilitate the smooth implementation of Smart Janpath project. The sculpture was created by late sculptor Raghunath Mohapatra in the heart of the city close to the Bhubaneswar railway station in 1988.
