Berhampur, Oct 2: The police on Sunday seized smuggled gold and silver worth about Rs 3.10 crore from a vehicle in Berhampur. Around 4.66 kilograms of gold and 185 kilograms of silver ornaments being illegally transported from Tamil Nadu to Berhampur were seized, said police. Golanthara Police while performing checking duty detained a suspicious vehicle and found the smuggled metals from the secret chambers. “Early morning, Golanthara PS staff while performing Naka & checking duty detained a suspicious vehicle. While searching 4.664 kg #Gold & 185.5 kg #silver were found from secret chambers. Seized goods worth is around 3.10 crores.
