Girl killed, her brother loses leg after goods train runs over them in Odisha

Jharsuguda, Dec 27: In a tragic mishap, a 20-year-old girl was killed and her elder brother lost his leg after both of them were run over by a goods train train in Jharsuguda district today. The incident took place near platform No 4 of Bagdehi railway station under Laikera police limits. As per reports, the deceased Sofia Mahananda along with her brother Roshan Mahananda (22) were trying to reach the other platform in the station by crossing the good train which ran over them. While Sofia died on the spot, Roshan lost his leg and was immediately rushed to the district headquarters hospital for treatment. Locals said that the victims had been to the station to board a train to Brajarajnagar.
