Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has extended free treatment of accident victims in three private hospitals in the State to ensure proper treatment in first 48 hours of accident often called the ‘golden hour’.
The Commerce and Transport Department has released a notification to this effect. The department has also released Rs 4 crore to Health and Family Welfare Department to facilitate the treatment in three private hospitals in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
The scheme will be available at AMRI, Apollo Hospitals in Bhubaneswar and Ashwini Hospital in Cuttack.
In phases, this facility will be extended to other cities like Rourkela, Berhampur, Sambalpur. SOP for the purpose has been developed by the Health and Family Welfare Department.
