Former VHP National General Secy Pravin Togadia urges government for conserving religious institutions

Puri, April 25: Former National General Secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Praveen Togadia has visited Puri Jagannath temple on Monday. Meanwhile, he commented on the Heritage Corridor Project of the shrine and urged the state government for conserving the religious institutions in Puri. Togadia said destruction of the ancient mutts and temples in and around the Puri town in the name of beatification is not at all a development. The venture will be resulting demolition of the pre-existing religious institutions, which can never be restored any more, he added. However, he urged the state government for reviewing the decision in view of conserving the religious monuments around the Sri Jagannath temple.
