Former Odisha Minister Dambarudhar Ulaka passes away at 87

Dambarudhar Ulaka, a prominent figure in Odisha politics and a former minister, breathed his last at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday night.

Bhubaneswar, May 15: Dambarudhar Ulaka, a prominent figure in Odisha politics and a former minister, breathed his last at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday night. He was 87.

 

According to reports, Ulaka passed away at 10:50 am.

 

Ulaka had a distinguished political career, serving as a five-time Congress MLA from Bissam-Cuttack in Rayagada. He contested and won the assembly elections from this constituency in 1974, 1977, 1995, 2004, and 2009 under the Congress banner.

 

Following his demise, arrangements are being made to transport his mortal remains to his birthplace in Rayagada's Bankili for his final rites.
