Forest officials start operation to rescue honey badger in Jagatsinghpur

Jagatsinghpur, July 9: Kujang forest officials have started an operation to rescue the honey badger that was spotted at Mahala village a couple of days ago. A forest squad has been engaged to locate the animal in and around the Mahala reserve forest. Sources said, a honey badger was spotted at Mahala village in a betel farm that was digging burrows in the ground. Subsequently, Paan farmers trapped it alive and released it in the nearby forest. Meanwhile, the video featuring the whole episode with the animal went viral on social media. Acting on it, the officials of Kujang forest Range have started the rescue operation to leave it in a suitable environment.
