Baripada, April 29: A major fire broke out at Bank of India’s Zonal office branch in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district on Monday.
According to sources, fire broke out in the third floor of the building. Being informed, Fire service personnel rushed to the spot and efforts were underway to douse the flames. However, three staff members includng a woman sustained injuries and shifted to the hospital for treatment.
“As thick smoke enveloped the entire branch, it posed challenges for conducting rescue operations. However, the fire is now under control. Two units of fire brigade have been deployed in the operation. Fortunately, all bank staff are safe”, said a fire service personnel.
