Elephant inflicts panic near Kalinga Studio in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Oct 28: A lone elephant has inflicted panic near Kalinga studio in Bhubaneswar on Thursday. Forest officials have initiated an operation to chase the pachyderm out of the city. Sources said, an elephant from Chandaka wildlife sanctuary barged into the city in the evening and entered into a farm house near the Kalinga studio. Subsequently, it damaged huge cache of greenery in its surrounding. Following this, a panic was spread among the locals in and around the residential areas. Being informed, a team of forest officials including elephant trackers took up a chase operation to get the elephant back into the forest. However, the elephant is still wreaking havoc in the surrounding areas so far, said a forest official. Update awaited......
