Elephant herd destroys standing crops in Deogarh

Deogarh, Nov 16: Panic gripped among the locals after a herd of elephants destroyed standing crops in Suguda gram panchayat of Deogarh district. According to the report, a herd of 40 elephants has been destroying crops in Badachapala gram panchayat in Tileibani block since October. Now the herd has entered several villages of Suguda gram panchayat and damaged acres of standing crops.  The villagers have been spending sleepless nights to drive away the elephants and guard their crops. Forest officials are also leaving no stones unturned to drive away the elephants.
