Elephant carcass recovered in Kuldiha forest

Balasore, De 17: Carcass of an elephant was today found in Kuldiha forest under Nilagiri range on Thursday evening. Locals first spotted the carcass and informed the forest officials. Forest officials said that a post-mortem will be conducted to ascertain the cause of the death of the animal. Between 2016-17 and 2018-19, 246 elephants had died in Odisha due to various reasons such as accidental electrocution, disease, accidents involving trains and other vehicles, natural and other causes.
