ECoR urges job aspirants not to fall in trap of touts

Bhubaneswar, Jan 12: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has appealed job aspirants not to fall in the claws of touts promising to provide job in Railways. Officials said that several job cheating cases have been come to the knowledge of Railway administration in recent times. “Innocent people are being cheated by the racketeers luring jobs in Railways despite several steps taken by the Railways to control the tout menace. It has been reiterated that “don’t fall prey to touts, brokers and racketeers to get a Railway job and save your hard-earned money. The Railway Board or Railway Recruitment Board or the Railway Ministry never nominates any agent or an outsourcing agency for recruitment,” said an official. The ECoR also urged the aspirants to check the official websites of Railway Recruitment Boards, Railway Recruitment Cells and follow advertisements published by the boards in newspaper. “ If anybody asks for bribe promising to provide you a job in Railways or if you have any information of corruption or you are a victim of the above, please inform on Vigilance helpline number 8455885031,” added the official.
