Drug trade in park: Peddler intercepted red-handed in Bhubaneswar

wp:heading {"level":1} /wp:heading Bhubaneswar, Oct 1: Commissionerate police, Bhubaneswar has arrested a drug peddler raid-handed who used to trade drugs inside parks in Bhubaneswar on Friday. Around 73 grams of Brown Sugar has been seized from the peddler in the evening. The accused has been identified as Geda alias Pradipta Sahu and Star Pintu, a native of Bhimtangi area who has got a crime history in a number of police stations. Airfield police said, After a tip-off, Sub Inspector PK Mahala along with other staff conducted a raid near BDA Park in Bhimtangi locality and apprehended Geda and seized 73 gm of brown sugar, cash amounting to Rs 6,000, two mobile phones from his possession. Geda used to sell brown sugar and other drugs especially to youths and college students, said the police. Later, the accused was arrested under sections 21(b)/29 of the NDPS Act and forwarded to Court.
