District Programme Manager in Malkangiri held for taking bribe

Malkangiri, Jan 6: Vigilance sleuths today arrested District Programme Manager, office of the Chief District Medical & Public Health Officer, Malkangiri on charges of demanding and accepting bribe. Vigilance sleuths said that the accused identified as Sudeep Kesh has demanded bribe of Rs 20000 from one Nabaghana Khillo for passing of bills in connection with execution of some construction works. Accordingly, a trap was laid on Wednesday and the accused was caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance. “The bribe money was recovered from the possession of the accused. In this connection a case has been registered and further investigation is continuing,” said an official.
